Learning Targets:

  •  Create a text focused poster using Photoshop skills and knowledge.

 Agenda:

  1. Students will create a document that is 300 resolution and 16×24 (or vice versa) for the starting point of their poster.
  2. When finished, please save a jpeg image of your completed poster as well as a separate screen shot of your layers. Please embed both images to the same post.  Title:  Text Based Poster

Please Note:

  • The poster must be for a fictitious band.
  • It must include the following information: band name, event location, time, date, website, and cost, as well as any additional information you feel is important.

Success Criteria:

  • My poster includes a variation of five different styles of text.
  • The text in my poster includes 3 or more colors.
  • My poster includes 3 or more graphics/images.
  • The alignment/placement of objects in my poster is appropriate.
  • I have created a poster that has a good overall visual appeal.

#11 Mini Brush Projects [15 Points]

You will have one class period to complete this assignment

This Assignment is due by the end of the class period:

Please title your post: Mini Brush Projects


Learning Targets:

Students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the use of the various brushes on images of their choice in Photoshop.

Agenda:

  1. History Brush Mini:  A:  De-saturate and restore the color in an area of focus/interest using the History Brush tool. OR  B: Apply a filter and restore an area of focus/interest using the History Brush tool.
  2. Color Replacement Mini: Students will use a colorful image of their own or find one on the internet.  They will replace appropriate areas of the image with six or more colors of their choice.  The original will be placed in your blog.
  3. Mixer Brush: Students will use the Mixer Brush tool to “paint” an image of their choice.  They will use blending and various options available under the Mixer Brush tool to create the desired effect. The original will be placed in your blog.

Note:

  • Save all images as a JPEG.  
  • You do not need to put the screen shot of the layers in the blog.  
  • You will post all three projects with the original  in the order mentioned above.
  • Please label them.
